Freelance Writer, Academic & Creative Solutions Consultant
Kristen Conte is a Professor of English, freelance writer and creative solutions consultant based in Metro Detroit. While her interests are varied, Kristen spends much of her time preparing lectures, developing dynamic group projects and researching supplemental readings for her classes at a private, not-for-profit career college system in Michigan.
Kristen is an active member of the blogsphere and moderates her own Detroit concert review blog, Motor City Live, for the Counter Project at http://www.thecounterproject.com/. Motor City Live has brought Kristen both local and national exposure, as her blog readership has made it's way into the thousands.
Additionally, Kristen works as a guest columnist for niche publications and was featured in Corp! Magazine in August, 2010. Her writing has also been featured in locally and nationally circulated direct mail pieces, e-newsletters, event invitations, and brochures.
Kristen’s approach to freelance work is diligence in attention to detail and exceptional client service. She is able to weave her unique writing style into material for a variety of categories including online publications, blogs, web content, web copy, magazines, and business writing.
Kristen graduated from Oakland University (Rochester, MI) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, and earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Baker College of Graduate Studies (Flint, MI).
